Plastic Surgeons...? I am in college right now and am applying for med school in the spring. I think I want to be a plastic surgeon, but i want to be sure that im going into the right feild. I want to do breast augmentations, (lifts, reductions, implants, ect.) however i do not want to work in er i do know a plastic surgeon and he works in the er and when people get in fights or physical mess their face up skin wise, he'll take cartliage from other parts of your body skin too, to fix it. i do not want to do that? so do i have to specialize or if i become a plastic surgeon do i have to do that also?

why don't the hollywood scary faces sue their plastic surgeons? I personally know some people who had botched plastic surgery and none of them can sue their surgeons (not famous - just normal people). No lawyer will take the case. So, then I think - well look at Hollywood... Michael Jackson is an extreme case who probably wanted to look the way he does, but I am sure meg ryan, did not. Tara reid openly talks about her botched breast aug, yet she never sued her first doctor. I can't help but think - why aren't they suing over whatever they did to her... NOR revealing the docs name?? and why is it so hard to sue a plastic surgeon? I know someone who had a big nose 10 yrs ago and went though 4 corrective operations just so she could breathe again after the first doctor destroyed her nose (he was never sued & the others who tried to fix it did their best in a bad situation). i know dozens of other people who had bad lipo, breast aug, etc... but the surgeon is like free to do whatever he wants unless the patient dies basically. before you counter argue that it was their choice to have the operation and accept the risks...think about that statement. If that excuse were true, then every plastic surgeon could get away with butchering every patient...and if a doctor is a doctor - what happened to "do no harm" ? Also, I know "good results" are superficial - but there is a degree of objectivity when someone's nose is hanging off their face.

How are cup sizes/breast sizes determined by plastic surgeons? For a while I've been trying to figure out how bust sizes are determined, but I think I've been looking in the wrong places. I've decided to take my quest to plastic surgeons, because they work in this field. Specifically those who do breast augmentation. How do breast augmentation surgeons (or anyone involved with breat augmentation) determine the cup sizes? If someone came in asking for a 36C cup augmentation, how would you know what it looked like? If someone came in with a picture of how they want them to look, would you be able to name it? EDIT: Romantic Angel, what I'm trying to figure out is, how do surgeons determine what the bra size is? Sure they can tell what a person's current bra size is, but if a person walks in with a 30AA and wants to be upgraded to a 36C, how do they know how big to make them? abscess - general surgeon or plastic surgeon? I have an abscess on my cheek and its pretty inflames (size little larger that a nickel). The doctors say that it needs to be drained and I set a appointment with a general surgeon. However I was just told by a freind that I should go to a plastic surgeon as they will use micro stiches and take better care so that there's less scaring. Does any1 know a good credited plastic surgeon in Sydney who has cheaper prices for their services? Im lookin at having some procedures done after having my kids but I found that all plastic surgeons charge very differently and was told to shop around that I will be surprised at some of the lower prices. So does any1 have any Dr's in mind??

Plastic Surgeon? I really want to become a plastic surgeon, but the only problem is that I did extremely poorly in high school. Instead of studing, I was partying and instead of showing up to class I was skipping with my friends. The past has caught up with me now, and I have no idea if I should still put in the time and effort of becoming a plastic surgeon because of my bad marks throughout high school.
