Plastic Surgeons Directory

Author: Jenelle Castelli

When one makes the decision to undergo any type of plastic surgery, one of the first thoughts that enters their mind is: “what surgeon should I choose to perform this operation?” Choosing an adequate plastic surgeon is essential if the patient desires a good outcome. Patients that choose a surgeon based on price or location are immediately at risk of coming out of surgery with many more physical and health-related problems. Of course, choosing a plastic surgeon can be frustrating and even overwhelming. After all, no one ever knows with 100% certainty that the surgeon they choose will do the best possible job they can. The following directory consists of highly skilled plastic surgeons. Even though no patient ever knows (without a doubt) that they will be satisfied with their final results, choosing a highly recommended plastic surgeon will almost always eliminate the possibility of a botched job.

When in search of a plastic surgeon, the following tips will help ease the fear of waking up to results that were not anticipated.

  • Look at before and after pictures of the surgeon you are considering. If you notice a positive trend of facial changes, it is a good sign. If you notice a negative trend, however, take your business elsewhere.
  • Conduct a bit of your own research. Check certification for validity and interview the plastic surgeon you are considering. This can be done by way of email or direct phone conversation. When emailing, see if the surgeon responds quickly and answers the questions you asked in a clear and understanding way.
  • Ask around. A trend of positive reactions when asking about the surgeon in question usually means a “point in the right direction”. There are also many plastic surgery discussion forums.
  • When everything is said and done, use your own instincts. It is never too late to turn around and walk away if something about the surgeon, building, or general atmosphere seems a little off. At the end of the day, you will feel much more relaxed and confident knowing that the surgeon you chose really is “up to par”.
